Our client, an expanding company which possesses extensive experience and cutting-edge expertise across the entire solar value chain, and operating in Mauritius & Africa, is looking for an Accounts Supervisor who proves himself to be result driven, self-motivated, with a high level of drive, dedicated and resourceful.

The company integrates state-of-the-art technologies and best-in-class solutions for the development, maintenance, and optimisation of large-capacity PV farms, maximising the solar energy conversion while meeting the needs of feed-in tariffs.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Hire, train, and oversee subordinate accounting staff.
  • Oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate accounting staff.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepares financial reports and accounting statements.
  • Ensure the integrity of the company’s financial records.
  • Ensure sound internal controls and systems.
  • Managing external audits.
  • Prepare daily cash flow analysis.
  • Update liquidity plan on a monthly basis.
  • Preparing monthly/quarterly/yearly statutory returns.
  • Preparing payroll for workers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation. 

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Accounting and/or ACCA part-qualified
  • At least 2 years experience as Accounts officer/Accounts Assistant

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Sound knowledge of accounting standards and local legislations
  • Experience in Sage Pastel or any other financial package shall be an advantage.
  • Thorough understanding of bookkeeping practices and procedures and the ability to train others in related practices and procedures
  • Good analytical and problem solving skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Can work autonomously with limited supervision
  • Open minded and willing to evolve in a polyvalent environment
  • Solution oriented and attentive to detail
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn and grow within the group
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
