Job Overview: The Accounts Officer is responsible for managing financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting policies, and assisting in the preparation of financial reports. This role involves maintaining and reconciling accounts, processing invoices, managing petty cash, and supporting the finance team in day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities:
•Financial Reporting:
•Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
•Assist in preparation of balance sheet schedules
•Support the preparation of VAT returns, tax filings, and other regulatory Ensure
•Compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and relevant financial regulations.
•Reconciliation:
•Perform regular bank reconciliations, ensuring that all transactions are accurate, and discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
•Reconcile supplier statements and accounts, ensuring that payments are accurately processed.
•General Administrative Support:
•Provide administrative support to the finance team, including preparing financial reports and maintaining financial records.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
•Education:
•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance field.
•Level One ACCA is preferable.
•Experience:
•2-3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a similar industry.
•Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
•Experience with financial reporting and budgeting is an advantage.
•Technical Skills:
•Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software applications.

•Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
•Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
