TAX SENIOR/SUPERVISOR

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Tax Supervisor to join our tax services department. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of local tax legislations and regulations and have experience at managing a team of tax associates.

• Oversee the preparation and filing of income tax returns for domestic companies, Global Business Licence companies, societes and successions for a portfolio of clients.
• Ensure compliance with all tax laws and regulations, staying updated on legislative changes that may impact clients.
• Manage tax compliance process and deadlines through proactive tracking and planning of engagements
• Collaborate with head of departments to ensure that clients’ tax positions are optimised taking into account all allowances, credits and deductions that are available.
• Coordinate with auditors for the computation of current tax and review of deferred tax for financial statement purposes.
• Respond to inquiries from the Mauritius Revenue Authority (“MRA”) and assist in resolving any tax-related issues for clients.
• Assist the head of department with the preparation of information and communication in respect of examinations carried out by the MRA
• Assist the head of department with tax advisory reports and opinions on certain technical tax matters by gathering information and conducting research
• Oversee quality and risk management procedures for all tax engagements to ensure independence requirements of the RSM network are met.  
• Oversee and manage the billing and debt collection of the department.
• Manage and mentor a team of tax associates, providing ongoing training and support.
• Conduct performance evaluations and develop individual growth plans for the team
