Our client, an investment holding company, is seeking to recruit an Accounting Executive.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Performing all accounting and tax activities (bookkeeping, annual accounts, periodic accounts, tax computations, TDS, VAT, amongst others).
  • Preparation of statutory financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards.
  • Bank transaction monitoring.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, and local authorities for clients' accounts.
  • Prepare payroll documents and applicable tax returns (PAYE, CSG, NSF and PRGF etc.); effect requisite statutory filings with MRA.
  • Coordinate the work of team members effectively.
  • Submitting periodic financial reports to Management, and
  • Any cognate duties assigned by the Manager.
Profile:

  • School Certificate (SC) and Higher School Certificate (HSC) or equivalent AND
  • University degree in the field of Finance or Management or Accounting OR at least ACCA Level 1, OR
  • Alternative qualifications may be acceptable by Management.
  • At least 2 years of working experience in accounting.
  • Flexible, proactive, and attentive to details.
  • Holds a degree from a recognized institution or ACCA Level 1 and above.
  • Undertaking ACCA or ACA professional studies.
  • Familiar with Accounting software packages.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the like).
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Goal-oriented and an organized team player.
  • Quick learner and able to adapt to different work environments.
  • Able to work under pressure.
