Junior Financial Analyst

Adecco is an International HR and Consultancy firm. Our client, a Luxembourg based listed company, expanding its activities in Mauritius is looking for a Junior Financial Analyst.

Our client, a Luxembourg based listed company, expanding its activities in Mauritius is looking for a Junior Financial Analyst.

Reporting to the Group Senior Financial controller based in Mauritius and Managing Director based abroad, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Main responsibilities:

• To review the counterparty risk on a regular basis and perform credit analysis on listed and non-listed securities.
• Analyse prospective investments and give recommendations on demand.
• Assist in the back-office tasks.
• To perform weekly reporting and analysis on the portfolio of investment.
• To assist the Group Financial Controller and perform any task he may require from you.

Qualification:

• Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent.
• Min 3 years of relevant experience preferably in similar function.
• One experience as financial analyst or as financial auditor.
• One relevant experience abroad is a plus

Candidate profile:

• Experience of Credit Analysis
• Knowledge of Python programming language is a plus.
• Able to read and understand annual reports of companies
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong communication skills (written and oral)
• Ability to build and analyse business models, financial statements and governments regulatory environments
• Expert in Microsoft excel and mathematical /statistic models
• Interests in financial news
• Knowledge in VBA, Access and Python is a plus
• Knowledge in Eikon Reuters Software and or Bloomberg is a plus
• Advance knowledge in DCF valuations and business plan modelling
• Advanced knowledge in Accounting and Financial Statements analysis
• Fluent in English and French
