Our Sister Company BLC Robert & Associates LTD is recruiting an IT Support Specialist who will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the organization's IT systems. This role involves providing advanced technical support to end users, maintaining hardware and software to agreed standards and contributing to IT projects that enhance our technological infrastructure. A key component of this position is to deliver comprehensive training to users, empowering them with the knowledge to use technology effectively.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Act as the first point of contact for advanced IT support issues, ensuring a timely and effective resolution. Log support calls and document outcomes to aid in resolving common queries more efficiently;
  • To pro-actively provide information to users on the progress of outstanding support calls;
  • Oversee the deployment of PCs, peripherals, and software applications, ensuring configurations meet our high standards. Conduct routine maintenance and upgrades to keep systems running smoothly;
  • Perform equipment repairs as necessary;
  • Troubleshooting IT related problems in a network-based environment, diagnoses problems, implements corrective action procedures within prescribed guidelines and/or escalates to other technical resources as appropriate;
  • Design and conduct training programs to users on various IT systems and applications, enhancing user capabilities and promoting effective use of technology resources. Track user progress and efficiency in using the IT tools;
  • Assist in maintaining a precise inventory of hardware and software, contributing to asset management and procurement strategies;
  • Assists in IT projects and initiatives, leading to the continuous improvement of the IT provisions for the office such as recommendation of software acquisitions, application upgrades/rollout and network upgrades;
  • Maintain awareness of technology trends and current event in information technology (e.g. security alerts);
  • Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with users and collaborate effectively with team members to meet IT goals;
  • Perform any other cognate duties.
Requirements and Skills:
  • Minimum of a Higher School Certificate with at least 5 years of relevant working experience. Bachelor’s degree or advanced diploma in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Good technical knowledge in Office 365, Win 10&11, DMS, Virtual Desktop environment.
  • Ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Ability to work under pressure at times.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French, with the ability to develop and conduct user training sessions.
  • Willingness to work outside of normal hours and adapt to changing priorities.
  • A highly motivated, resilient individual who is a committed team player, with a passion for technology and continuous learning.
