Adecco is an International HR and Consultancy firm. Our client, leader in the nutrition sector, is looking for a Financial Accountant.

 

Our client, leader in the nutrition sector, is looking for a Financial Accountant.

Reporting to the Head of Finance and Control, the successful candidate will be responsible for the Financial Accounting.

Main responsibilities:

  • Prepare & review Financial Statements.
  • Preparation of monthly financial reporting pack including sales update.
  • Monthly TB & Balance Sheet reconciliation.
  • Sales Control and reporting.
  • Ensure accurate, reliable and timely input, reporting and interpretation.
  • Managing Accounts Payable and Receivable.
  • Ensure Safe and sound internal controls and systems.
  • Treasury reporting and forecasts.
  • Tax computations.
  • Legal and regulatory compliance with Financial and tax authorities.
  • Financial and project analysis and simulations.
  • Monitoring overhead and CAPEX expenditure.
  • Responsible for statutory and internal audits.
  • Analysing and controlling variances between actuals and budgets.
  • Working with Management Accountant on Budgets, Projects & Analysis.
  • Assist the Head of Finance & Control with ad hoc projects and work.

Qualification:

  • Relevant Degree or Diploma (Accounting).
  • ACCA Qualified or Part-Qualified (Minimum Fundamentals Stage fully completed).
  • CIMA Qualified or Part-Qualified.
  • Minimum 4 years relevant and recent experience as Accountant.
  • Experience in a multinational or FMCG/Trading Sector shall be an advantage.
  • Working experience with ERP systems like Oracle & SAP shall be an advantage.

Candidate profile:

  • Initiatives taking.
  • Experience with Mauritian Tax Laws.
  • Must be analytical with strong attention to detail.
  • Considerable knowledge of accounting practise and theory.
  • Knowledge of Imports/Exports is advantageous.
  • IFRS Knowledge required.
  • Problem solver and proactive.
  • Team player, hardworking & strong work ethic.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • High analytical excel skills (e.g. Pivot table)
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) - English essential.
  • Good management and leadership skills.
