Job Description

DIRECTOR OF SALES & MARKETING

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic and commercially driven Director of Sales & Marketing to lead the resort's commercial strategy and drive sustainable revenue growth across all business segments.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing local and international markets, increasing market share, strengthening brand positioning, generating qualified business opportunities and maximizing revenue across Rooms, Villas, F&B, Spa, Weddings, Events and other revenue streams.

Working closely with the General Manager and Executive Committee, the Director of Sales & Marketing will lead all sales, marketing, communications, digital marketing and commercial initiatives to ensure the achievement of budgeted revenue, profitability and long-term business objectives.


Key Responsibilities

Commercial Strategy & Business Development

· Develop and execute the annual Sales & Marketing Strategy in line with the resort's business objectives.

· Drive revenue growth, market share and profitability across all business segments.

· Identify new business opportunities, market segments and revenue streams.

· Develop strategic partnerships with tour operators, travel advisors, DMCs, airlines, corporate accounts and industry stakeholders.

· Conduct regular market analysis and monitor competitor activities, pricing strategies and industry trends.

Market Development

· Develop and grow international feeder markets including and not limited to Europe, UK, South Africa, Middle East, India, Asia and the Indian Ocean region.

· Expand local corporate, MICE, leisure, wedding and events business.

· Generate qualified leads and convert opportunities into sustainable revenue.

· Maintain a robust sales pipeline and ensure effective account management strategies.


Revenue Management & Distribution

· Work closely with Revenue Management to optimize pricing, segmentation and channel strategies.

· Monitor occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, TRevPAR and overall commercial performance.

· Maximize direct business opportunities while optimizing distribution channels.

· Ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting processes.


Marketing & Brand Management

· Lead all marketing, digital marketing, social media, PR and communication initiatives.

· Ensure consistent luxury brand positioning across all channels and markets.

· Evaluate campaign effectiveness and ensure return on investment.

· Drive brand awareness, customer acquisition and direct revenue generation.


Leadership & Team Development

· Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Sales & Marketing team.

· Establish clear objectives, KPIs and performance expectations.

· Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration and continuous improvement.

· Recruit, mentor and retain top commercial talent.


Representation & Networking

· Represent the resort at trade shows, sales missions, roadshows and industry events.

· Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, partners, media representatives and industry stakeholders.

· Promote the resort within local and international business communities.


Qualifications & Experience

· Bachelor's Degree in Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management, Business Administration or related field.

· Minimum 8 years' experience in Sales & Marketing within luxury hospitality.

· Minimum 3 years' experience in a senior commercial leadership role.

· Experience within a luxury resort environment is highly desirable.

· Fluency in English and French is essential.

· Additional languages will be considered an advantage.
