Job Description
The Procurement Officer will support the Finance team by sourcing quality goods and services on time, at the best value, while working closely with internal teams and suppliers.
JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBLITIES
ØManage
day-to-day procurement activities to ensure goods and services are sourced
efficiently and cost-effectively.
ØEstimate
and establish cost parameters and budgets for purchases.
ØAct
as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, responding
promptly to procurement-related queries.
ØBuild
and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers to support reliable
service and delivery.
ØRaise,
track, and follow up on purchase orders to ensure timely approval and delivery.
ØReview
and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options.
ØEnsure
purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices are accurate, aligned, and
properly recorded.
ØEnsure
all procurement activities follow company policies, procedures, and approval
processes.
ØLiaise
and deal with a portfolio of foreign suppliers. Communicate with
freight forwarders, shipping agents, suppliers, and customs brokers.
ØProvide
activity report and other reports required by management.
REQUIREMENTS
ØDegree
in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent relevant practical
experience.
ØSolid
knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, policy, and systems.
ØMinimum
2 years’ experience as a procurement officer or related position.
ØProficient
computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook,
and Excel) and ERP systems.
ØAbility
to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts.
ØExcellent
verbal and written communication skills.
ØAbility
to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
ØAccurate
and precise attention to detail.
ØCollaborative
approach with the ability to work effectively with different teams and
stakeholders.
