Job Description

As a Storekeeper Assistant, you will be integral to maintaining our inventory management system and ensuring seamless operations in our warehouse. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will help us meet the high standards of our customers while maximizing efficiency.

You will supports the Storekeeper in daily warehouse, receiving, inventory, and purchase request activities to ensure accurate stock handling, proper storage, and efficient store operations while complying with company procedures and safety standards.

The Store operates under the Procurement Department

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Storekeeper in the daily management and operation of stores, warehouses, and inventory activities physically and in the SAP ERP. 
  • Assist with receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and tracking materials, spare parts, consumables, and company assets. 
  • Verify received goods against delivery notes and report discrepancies or damages to the Storekeeper.
  • Assist in raising purchase requests for stock replenishment and operational requirements.
  • Support loading, unloading, packaging, and dispatch activities.
  • Maintain proper stock organisation, labelling, and bin locations (if any) within the store/warehouse.
  • Assist the Storekeeper in updating stock movements and inventory records in the SAP ERP/inventory system.
  • Support prompt / monthly cycle counts, stock checks, and annual physical inventories.
  • Help identify and report stock discrepancies, damages, or variances.
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Assist in handling materials and operating warehouse equipment where authorised.
  • Liaise with internal departments regarding material availability and deliveries as directed by the Storekeeper. 

Qualifications:

  • A Certificate in Logistics, Warehouse Management, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of ERP/inventory systems and Microsoft Office. 
  • Good organisational and communication skills. 
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team.\
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and material handling. 
  • Awareness of store/warehouse health & safety practices.
