Role Summary

The role is responsible for overseeing the effective management of a Non-Human Primate (NHP) colony in alignment with company objectives and leadership directives.

Key Responsibilities

Animal Husbandry

• Ensure the physical and mental wellbeing of all animals.
• Implement and monitor health care protocols in line with company standards.
• Collaborate with Veterinary and Animal Welfare teams to maintain compliance.
• Oversee feeding operations, inventory management, and biosecurity practices.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper conditions of units and enclosures.

Team Management

• Plan, organize, and supervise daily activities of team members.
• Foster a positive work environment focused on animal welfare.
• Address workplace conflicts and support employee engagement.
• Partner with HR on recruitment, training, evaluation, and performance management.
• Support departmental performance monitoring and continuous improvement.

Maintenance & Resource Management

• Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure facilities and equipment are in optimal condition.
• Manage allocation and efficient use of tools and resources.

Quality, Health & Safety

• Support compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and AAALAC standards.
• Promote and enforce health and safety policies in accordance with legal requirements.
