Job Description
Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Leadership and Business Partnering
- Act as a trusted finance partner to senior management, country leads, operational teams, and business leaders
- Provide financial insight, challenge, and recommendations to support strategic and operational decision-making
- Translate financial data into clear business actions, risks, opportunities, and performance improvement initiatives
- Attend and contribute meaningfully to senior management, Board, and Audit Committee meetings
- Support business growth, cost optimisation, profitability improvement, and resource allocation decisions
2. Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting
- Own the budgeting and forecasting process across the relevant business units and subsidiaries
- Challenge assumptions, validate business inputs, and ensure alignment with strategic and operational priorities
- Monitor performance against budget and forecast, highlighting variances, risks, and corrective actions
- Support scenario planning, financial modelling, and decision analysis for business initiatives
3. Management Reporting and Performance Monitoring
- Own the monthly management accounts process, ensuring timely, accurate, and insightful reporting
- Prepare and present financial reports, management packs, Board packs, and Audit Committee packs
- Analyse business performance, margins, cost drivers, working capital, and profitability trends
- Develop reporting mechanisms that improve visibility, accountability, and decision-making across the business
4. Financial Control, Governance and Compliance
- Establish, strengthen, and monitor internal controls, financial governance, and approval processes
- Own the preparation and finalisation of annual financial statements
- Ensure statutory and tax compliance, including income tax, VAT, TDS, APS, and other relevant filings
- Lead and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely resolution of audit findings
- Ensure purchases, payments, procurement activities, and financial commitments comply with policies and delegated authority
5. Treasury, Working Capital and Risk Management
- Lead treasury management, cash flow planning, and liquidity reporting
- Oversee credit control and collection performance, ensuring strong working capital discipline
- Monitor stock control from a financial governance and reporting perspective
- Manage vendor exposure, payment terms, and supplier-related financial risks
- Identify financial risks and recommend practical mitigation actions
6. Procurement and Vendor Management
- Oversee procurement processes and ensure alignment with financial, operational, and governance requirements
- Support vendor management from a finance perspective, including negotiation of payment terms
- Ensure procurement decisions are commercially sound, properly controlled, and aligned with business needs
- Work with operational and technical teams to improve purchasing discipline and cost effectiveness
7. Team Leadership and Capability Building
- Lead, manage, and develop the finance team
- Set clear expectations, performance standards, timelines, and accountability within the finance function
- Build team capability in reporting, controls, compliance, business partnering, and process improvement
- Promote a culture of accuracy, ownership, responsiveness, and continuous improvement
8. Process Improvement, Digitalisation and Business Intelligence
- Drive digitalisation of finance processes and support the implementation of BI dashboards
- Improve reporting quality, automation, data reliability, and process efficiency
- Identify opportunities to streamline finance workflows and reduce manual interventions
- Use systems and data to provide better insight for decision-making
Profile Required
The ideal candidate must be a mature and commercially minded finance professional who can operate at both strategic and operational levels. This role requires someone who can take ownership, challenge the business constructively, improve financial discipline, and provide senior leadership with clear, reliable, and actionable financial insight. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a multi-entity and regional environment, dealing with complexity, ambiguity, deadlines, and competing priorities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience in finance, accounting, audit, financial management, at senior management level
- Proven experience in a finance management, financial controller, or finance business partnering role is a must.
- Experience in a multi-entity or regional environment would be a strong advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field ideal although not a prerequisite.
