Job Description
Execution & Supervision of Works
- Supervise and direct workforce and subcontractors within the section.
- Plan and organise daily activities with the General Foreman.
- Ensure work areas are prepared, materials available, and operatives briefed.
- Monitor daily production and maintain expected productivity levels.
Preliminary Verification & Quality Assurance
- Conduct pre-execution checks with engineers/surveyors.
- Verify line, level, plumbness, dimensions, and compliance with drawings.
- Ensure works are executed “right the first time.”
- Inspect ongoing works and rectify defects promptly.
- Assist in preparing checklists and inspection records.
Workforce Supervision & Discipline
- Lead workforce discipline, punctuality, and adherence to site rules.
- Distribute tasks fairly, matching skills to activities.
- Monitor productivity and implement corrective measures.
- Address minor issues and escalate serious matters to the General Foreman.
Material, Tools & Equipment Control
- Ensure correct materials, tools, and equipment are available.
- Inspect materials for compliance before use.
- Prevent wastage or misuse of resources.
- Record daily material usage and coordinate replenishment.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Enforce company HSE policies and site safety rules.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Ensure proper PPE use and safe working methods.
- Stop unsafe work and report incidents or hazards.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate daily with General Foreman and other sectional foremen.
- Communicate technical queries with site engineers/manager.
- Provide daily updates on progress, manpower, and material needs.
- Participate in site coordination meetings.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain daily records of workforce deployment and progress.
- Submit reports on material usage, delays, and quality.
- Report discrepancies between drawings and site conditions.
