Job Description

Location: Port Louis, Mauritius
Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 4:45 PM
  • Saturday: 9:00 AM – 1:15 PM

About the Company

Our client, a well-established company based in Port Louis, is looking for a Marketing & Communication Officer to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage the product range, including new product launches and market adaptations.
  • Create and update marketing and communication materials, including brochures, customer files, sales tools and other promotional materials.
  • Coordinate with the digital team to maintain and update product information on the company website.
  • Monitor and analyse monthly sales performance.
  • Assist in the preparation of the annual promotional plan, including feasibility studies and ROI analysis.
  • Develop product communication content across different platforms and coordinate product newsletters/emailing campaigns.
  • Handle and follow up on product-related complaints from distributors.
  • Conduct market and marketing tool benchmarking and recommend suitable tools for the sales team.
  • Analyse and monitor existing marketing and communication tools.
  • Propose new B2B tools based on the needs of distributors and clients.
  • Assist with video content creation, including filming, subtitling and editing.
  • Monitor internet trends and relevant market developments.
  • Manage and support social media activities.
  • Assist with email marketing campaigns.

Requirements / Skills

  • Previous experience in Marketing, Communication, Product Marketing or a related field.
  • Experience in creating marketing and sales support tools such as brochures, customer files, presentations, etc.
  • Strong commercial approach and understanding of customer needs.
  • Good knowledge of PowerPoint, Photoshop and Excel.
  • Excellent written and spoken French and English.
  • Knowledge of the cosmetics and/or food supplements industry would be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of product ingredients would be an added advantage.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Creative, organised, proactive and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • A valid driving licence is required.
  • Own vehicle is mandatory.
