Client Accounting Manager

We are looking for an experienced Client Accounting Manager to join our team and lead the delivery of high quality accounting and compliance services to a portfolio of local clients in Mauritius.  You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of local businesses, lead a talented accounting team and play a key role in delivering value added financial services to our clients.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee a portfolio of local client entities.
• Supervise day to day accounting, bookkeeping and reconciliations.
• Review monthly/quarterly management accounts and annual financial statements.
• Oversee VAT, TDS and other applicable statutory filings.
• Ensure compliance with MRA, ROC and other relevant regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate year end accounts and liaise with external auditors.
• Review the work of accountants and ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Manage client deadlines, deliverables and service levels.
• Provide accounting and financial guidance to clients and address technical queries.
• Lead, coach and develop the accounting team.
• Monitor workload, productivity and billing across the client portfolio.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency and client service.
• Build strong, long term relationships with clients.
  
  

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• At least 5 to 8 years of relevant experience with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial position.
• ACCA, ACA or equivalent professional qualification.

• Strong experience in local accounting and statutory compliance in Mauritius.
• Good knowledge of IFRS and Mauritius accounting/tax requirements.
• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within an accounting practice or client accounting environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and client relationship management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines effectively.
• Strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach.
