About the Role
We are seeking an experienced MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and cost aspects of our MEP contracting projects. The successful candidate will play a key role across the full project lifecycle — from tender preparation through to final accounts and retention recovery.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and compile tenders for MEP works, including take-offs, pricing, and bid documentation.
- Assess, price, and manage variation orders, ensuring changes are properly documented and recovered.
- Prepare accurate quotations for clients and consultants.
- Review and certify subcontractor valuation certificates, verifying works completed against contract terms.
- Prepare and agree final accounts with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Monitor and follow up on retention monies, ensuring timely release and recovery.
- Maintain cost control and reporting throughout each project.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the MEP / building services sector.
- Strong knowledge of measurement, tendering, and valuation processes.
- Familiarity with MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and associated cost drivers.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant QS / estimating software.
- Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
