About the Role

We are seeking an experienced MEP (Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing) Quantity Surveyor to manage the commercial and cost aspects of our MEP contracting projects. The successful candidate will play a key role across the full project lifecycle — from tender preparation through to final accounts and retention recovery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and compile tenders for MEP works, including take-offs, pricing, and bid documentation.
  • Assess, price, and manage variation orders, ensuring changes are properly documented and recovered.
  • Prepare accurate quotations for clients and consultants.
  • Review and certify subcontractor valuation certificates, verifying works completed against contract terms.
  • Prepare and agree final accounts with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor and follow up on retention monies, ensuring timely release and recovery.
  • Maintain cost control and reporting throughout each project.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the MEP / building services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of measurement, tendering, and valuation processes.
  • Familiarity with MEP systems (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) and associated cost drivers.
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and relevant QS / estimating software.
  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
