Job Description
In line with its growth strategy, PEX is looking for dynamic, adaptable, customer and quality-oriented
person to join our growing projects team. The right candidate will have the required qualifications and

the adequate experience to work, develop and grow in a payments/project management domain.
Detailed description
Execute tasks within each phase of project life cycles
1. Initiation phase
• Assist in business and technical analysis and elicitation of requirements.
• Assist in the definition and development of products and solutions which meets the business
requirements, including documentation of customer journeys (UX and UI) and high-level
architectural design.
2. Scoping and Planning
• Create detailed technical documentations including processes which achieve specific technical
functionalities
• Actively participate in defining testing strategies which align system integration tests, user
acceptance tests (UAT) and pilot tests.
• Communicate technical documentations of solutions and processes with internal and external
customers and stakeholders.
• Assist in the elaboration of a detailed overall project plan whilst elaborating and owning the
detailed planification of all technical tasks.
• Assist in scoping technical requirements for any development which needs to be done by third
parties (system vendors, contractors)
• Elaborate a configuration management plan to ensure parameters are captured and validated.
• Assist in the elaboration of a network certification plan and ensure alignment and validation of
same with all concerned project stakeholders.
3. Execution phase
• Execute the configuration plan, setup test systems and assist in attaining an efficient
interoperability between PEX’s systems and other connected systems (host interfaces, core
banking systems, VISA/ MasterCard/Union Pay, other national switching systems).
• Perform timely execution of the planned technical tasks, ensuring that project milestones are
achieved as per agreed timelines.
• Perform and manage internal system integration tests procedures on internal systems and on
deliverables from vendors.
• Perform execution of the certification plan with networks (VISA, MasterCard and others) and
ensure completion as per agreed timelines.
• Collaborate with the client’s technical team to perform user acceptance tests whilst ensuring
timely completion of all test cases and resolution of any issues.
• Execute efficient, risk-free GO-LIVE procedures by collaborating with internal teams and any
external vendor or stakeholder.
• Collaborate with the client’s technical team to perform live pilot tests and ensure timely
completion of all live test scenarios.
• Adhere to project governance procedures and ensure UAT signoffs before GO-LIVE phase and
pilot signoffs after live pilot testing.
4. Monitoring and Control
• Assist in the timely update of project plans and other project documentations which track
progress
• Actively participate in meetings with client and other stakeholders ensuring that clear and concise
information are shared.
• Adhere to risk management processes on technical tasks whilst ensuring that risks are tracked,
discussed and mitigated in a timely manner.
• Adhere to issue management processes and ensure that all issues are documented and resolved
in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with and ensure a fruitful collaboration with other internal departments with focus
on setting up efficient cross-departmental processes.
5. Project closure phase
• Provide technical support, guidance and training to the internal and external stakeholders
• Actively participate in production hand-over procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the project management framework by documenting
lessons learned after each project.
The right candidate will have
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Information System and/or any related field.
• At least 2 years’ experience leading and managing projects or specific project tasks. A CAPM or
PMP will be a big advantage.
• Fundamental understanding of SQL, APIs, Jasper iReport developer, Postman, SOAPUI and other
technical tools.
• Approximately 3 years of experience in an IT, cards or payment industry.
• Proven experience in business analysis, product management, technical project management,
requirements elicitation and in execution of technical business processes.
• A self-motivated, adaptable and a good communicator who has a learning mindset and wants to
acquire more knowledge in the card processing, project management and payment industry.
• A team player who can work in close collaboration with the project managers and other
collaborators with a strong focus on quality and on implementing smart and customer-focussed
solutions.
• Very fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
• Note: The title will vary from Associate Project Engineer, to Project Engineer and to Senior Project
Engineer based on the candidate’s experience level.
