Taylor Smith Equipment ltd is looking for dynamic and experienced professional with a pro-active attitude to fill the post of Workshop Manager.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Creating schedules for workshops, considering available resources, time constraints, and participant availability.
- Organizing workshops in advance, ensuring all necessary materials, tools, and equipment are ready.
- Managing and leading a team of workshop staff, including technicians, instructors, and support personnel.
- Assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members, setting clear expectations for performance and quality.
- Liaise with customers and diagnose customer concerns with equipment prior to being booked in for service and/or repair.
- Assist/Train all Technicians and Apprentice Technicians in the diagnosis of mechanical problems and ensure the development and progress of all.
- Ensure with admin support that job are created and that all parts and consumables are allocated correctly prior invoicing.
- Check all field reports prior giving to admin/operator coordinator
- To complete all the necessary paperwork and intervention reports of job progress
- To comply with all relevant legislation, policies and procedures
- To maintain a positive attitude that promotes team work within the company and a favourable image to external parties
- Assist in the coordinating after hours call outs and the weekly on call roster.
- To diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
- Perform daily checks to ensure that standards are being met.
- Ensure repair/maintenance targets are maintain and updated accordingly
- Communicate with the team and client daily to discuss work assignments.
- Assist the admin support during inventories.
- Make sure that the stock is manage correctly.
Requirements:
- NTC Level 3 – Mechanic/Electric
- Proven 3 years experience in Technical and Mechanic at a similar position.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadline.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and French.
- Computer literate with Microsoft application such as word, excel etc…
- Candidate should be fully vaccinated against COVID-19
- Candidate should have a clear certificate of Character.
