Trainee – Supply Chain

We are hiring a Trainee - Supply Chain in the Finance Department (Procurement & Supply Chain) of Emtel Ltd to assist in the timely clearance for goods and services procured, ensure cost effectiveness are commensurate with quality with regards to freight forwarding services.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Procurement activities: Assist in the procurement activities for various functions and ensure timely procurement based on priorities for both Emtel and its other subsidiaries.
   
   
2. RFP Process: Issuance/Monitoring of timeline/Extension as and when required/Communication with vendors/ Receipt of proposals/Evaluation of proposals.
   
   
3. Supplier Management: Carry out on a regular basis supplier performance evaluation for strategic and preferred suppliers. Monitor compliance with terms and conditions.
   
   
4. Open Purchase Orders Review: Review open Purchase Orders on a regular basis and take actions on long outstanding POs.
   
   
5. Logistics and Customs clearance: Assist the team as needed for prompt customs clearance and logistics.
   
   
6. Warehouse Management: As needed, support the team for arising matters.
   
   
7. Go to Market time: Improve and optimize service delivery internally through process efficiencies for procurement activities.
   
   
8. Ensure efficient and fast service to internal customers: Understand and attend to needs of internal customers and source adequate supplies.
