The Trainee – Procurement is responsible to execute all the day-to-day activities/tasks of the unit. This role supports the procurement unit in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of its supply chain activities. This position is offered on a contractual basis for a duration of 11 months.

 

The Trainee – Procurement is responsible to execute all the day-to-day activities/tasks of the unit. This role supports the procurement unit in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of its supply chain activities. This position is offered on a contractual basis for a duration of 11 months.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The key responsibilities are not limited to the following:

  •  Maintain inventory platform data and maintaining database of purchase orders and pricing records.
  • Liaises with stakeholders to determine their inventory requirements
  • Follow, foster and enforce the best practices of procurement policies and procedures with stakeholders
  • Ensure the day to day administrative duties are closed timely.
  • Ensure administrative tasks are being carried out in a timely manner.
  • Ensure proper management and organization of works
  • Quantify workloads and maintain proper job-sharing responsibilities among co-workers
  • Any other adhoc duties

 PREREQUISITES:

  • Minimum HSC qualification and alternatively a Degree in Management or Procurement /Supply Chain Management or any relevant field, acceptable to the bank would be an advantage.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Well versed with Microsoft Office specifically in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Good oral communication skills, ability to convey information effectively.
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with good working attitude.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Negotiation & Organization skills.
  • Pay attention to details & result oriented.
