Our client in the financial industry is recruiting a Team Leader – Finance and Administration.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts.
- Prepare statutory financial statements including notes to accounts
- Prepare quarterly and standard packs for consolidation
- Prepare and coordinate yearly budget process
- Monitor performance of companies through a set of KPIs
- Verify and submit all Tax returns (VAT, PAYE, NPS, Corporate Tax, etc.)
- Liaise with key stakeholders , including internal;/external auditors, banks and government agencies
- Ensure that current financial and accounting policies, systems and procedures operate effectively
- Contribute to Business Intelligence and competition monitoring activities
- Ascertain that settlement of transactions are done according to terms
- Ensure an efficient and effective cash flow and treasury management
- Check bank reconciliation
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting to BOM on XBRL portal
- Ensure the KYC process on on-boarding and at regular reviews are done correctly
- Understand the rate setting mechanism and help to quote rates to clients
- Perform any other cognate duties as may be required within the Business Unit.
Profile
- Degree Holder in Finance and Accounting or Management and/or Professional qualification
- 3-5 years in a similar position
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Quality focused with an attention for details
- Displays collaborative working style, openly shares knowledge through open communication with stakeholders
- Demonstrates and inspires trust
- Proven track record of a solution provider and process improvement
- The ability to solve problems through reasoning, evaluating, judging and choosing among alternatives
