Assist the Storekeeper in inventories and conduct spot checks on store items to ensure accuracy of figures on stock management software.
Core Responsibilities :-
- Assist the Storekeeper in inventories and conduct spot checks on store items to ensure accuracy of figures on stock management software
- Ensure that all transfers(IssueRequisitions) are entered into the system daily,except during the month-end closure as per the hotel's procedures.
- Work closely with the Procurement department and follow up of orders with suppliers
- Ensure proper rotation of the store items by applying “First In First out” basis
- Report any anomalies in the store,such as expired shelf life or damaged products,to the Head Storekeeper to prevent wastage
- Deliver only approved requisitions to specific departments
- Properly label all food items in the store as per the labelling and traceability procedures
- Collect goods from the receiving bay ensuring food safety,especially for chilled and frozen items.
- Ensure that book report is attached to Issue requisition and filed sequentially.
- To ensures to check items are properly safeguarded
- Ensure adherence to SOPs,Emergency policy andquality standards of the hotel
- Ensure products in store are stacked as per food safety management system and legal requirements
- Check outside freezers and maintain in a clean and neat condition as per food safety management system.
- Maintain hotel stores and ensure cleanliness of store areas
- Ensure Health and Safety practices are maintained at all times
- Any other cognate duties assigned by direct reporting line
Core Profile:
- Holder of SC, with at least 2 years of experience in a store preferably in the hotel industry
- Honest and trustworthy
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Excellent organizational skills
- Good physical ability
- A team player with the capacity to work autonomously as well
- Good physical capacities, for significant lifting, carrying, pushing & pulling
- Be rigorous and respectful of hotel control processes
- Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management
- Good knowledge in food and beverage items and consumable items
- Strong ability to work with diverse people and to maintain cooperative working relationships;
- Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time
