The job incumbent ensures smooth operations within the store by handling inventory processes, coordinating logistics, maintaining stock records, and supporting the overall functionality of the store. .
Inventory Operations:
- Ensure accurate records are maintained for incoming and outgoing goods using inventory systems.
- Facilitate the entry and exit of stock, ensuring proper documentation in the POS system.
- Assist with the maintenance of stockrooms, ensuring a clean and organized workspace.
- Handle minor equipment maintenance and escalate technical issues as required.
- Coordinate stock transfers between departments or external locations as needed.
Store Logistics:
- Assist with the receiving, unpacking, and storing of incoming Stock.
- Organize and prepare stock for delivery or customer pick-up.
- Maintain records of stock movements, including returns and damaged goods, and ensure accurate reporting.
Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to safety guidelines during stock handling and store operations.
- Ensure proper labelling, storage, and handling of products.
- Participate in safety drills and exercises to maintain a secure working environment.
Administrative Duties:
- Support the documentation of invoices, delivery notes, and other stock-related paperwork.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date system records of inventory movements.
- Report discrepancies or operational issues to the Store Manager.
The ideal job holder should have:
- A minimum of 2 years working experience in a similar environment.
- Proficient in inventory systems and basic computer applications, including POS systems.
- Hands-on and proactive with a strong sense of teamwork.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Physically fit and able to perform tasks that require manual handling.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Proven experience in a similar operational or support role.
