We are actively seeking a highly experienced Store Manager with a proven track record of at least 10 years in store or warehouse operations. Candidates with expertise or working knowledge in plumbing products or materials will be given preference. Valid Driving License Required

 

1. Store Operations Management

  • Oversee all store activities to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional store environment.
  • Ensure optimal space utilization and clear product categorization.
  • Implement and enforce store policies, safety protocols, and operational procedures.
  • Open and close the store as per operational hours, including handling security protocols.

 2. Inventory & Stock Control

  • Monitor stock levels to ensure availability of materials without overstocking.
  • Plan and conduct periodic stock audits, cycle counts, and full physical inventories.
  • Investigate, resolve, and document any discrepancies, shortages, overages, or damaged goods.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records using inventory management systems (manual or digital).
  • Generate stock movement reports, consumption trends, and reorder alerts.
  • Classify, label, and store goods properly to ensure safe and easy retrieval.

3. Purchasing & Replenishment Coordination

  • Work closely with procurement and vendors to ensure timely supply of goods.
  • Track consumption trends and place purchase requests to avoid stockouts.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and recommend alternatives when necessary.

4. Team Management & Delegation

  • Supervise and diretc. storekeeper(s) and store attendant(s).
  • Assign roles and responsibilities clearly and ensure task completion.
  • Provide ongoing training and support for store staff.
  • Conduct performance reviews and promote a productive work environment.
  • Create and manage staff shift schedules to ensure adequate coverage at all times.

5. Recordkeeping & Documentation

  • Maintain all records of inbound and outbound goods with proper documentation.
  • Ensure proper filing and archiving of delivery notes, invoices, gate passes, etc.
  • Submit weekly and monthly stock and activity reports to management.
  • Keep a log of equipment/tools issued or returned by field staff or customers.

6. Vendor & Logistics Coordination

  • Schedule and follow up on deliveries with suppliers.
  • Arrange transport and logistics for inbound/outbound stock movements.
  • Ensure accurate verification of items received against purchase orders.

  7. Safety, Security & Compliance

  • Enforce safety standards related to materials storage, handling, and access control.
  • Ensure fire safety equipment and emergency procedures are in place.
  • Minimize losses through theft prevention and routine checks.
  • Be accountable for all store keys and access permissions.
  • Report incidents or hazards promptly and take preventive measures.
