The Specialist - Operational Risk will play a key role in supporting Cim Finance Operational Risk team in designing and implementing risk frameworks across CIM business lines and support functions.

 

The role involves managing risks, analyzing data, enhancing risk practices, and reviewing policies to ensure ongoing improvement and compliance.

 

Responsibility
 
  • Support the Operational Risk team in enhancing risk awareness through training, workshops, and advisory support.
  • Contribute to governance by reviewing policies and processes for compliance with best practices and regulatory changes.
  • Monitor and follow up on management actions to ensure timely resolution
  • Assist in implementing the Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
  • Conduct Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) to identify risks and control gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Design risk dashboards and present key risks to management.
  • Coordinate and report on Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and trends.
  • Oversee Incident Reporting, analyze root causes, and ensure accurate escalation and reporting.
  • Stay updated on emerging risk management trends and techniques.
  • Support the Risk Manager/Chief Risk Officer with project management and risk advisory tasks.
  • Review and enhance the organization’s Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework to ensure resilience during disruptions.
  • Collaborate with Technology teams in testing and implementing Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies.
  • Foster a positive team culture, maintain strong stakeholder relationships, and support day-to-day operations.
  • Provide coaching and leadership to team members.
 
 
Candidate Profile
  • A degree in Risk Management, IT, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Pursuing or holding relevant professional qualifications is preferred.
  • At least 3 years' experience in risk management, audit, or risk consulting within financial services.
  • Solid understanding of Operational Risk Management and the "three lines of defense" model.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, with excellent problem-solving, reporting, and communication abilities.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management and control techniques.
  • Excellent communication and influencing abilities.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Practical understanding of risk, controls, and operational processes.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access, SQL, and Power BI is an advantage.
