Overview of the post
The primary responsibility of the Site Supervisor is to supervise and lead a team of skilled workers in the execution of photovoltaic installations. This includes ensuring strict adherence to project timelines, maintaining high-quality standards, and upholding safety regulations throughout the installation process. The Site Supervisor plays a key role in coordinating and overseeing tasks, troubleshooting on-site issues, and ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and report major issues to the seniors.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Site Management
- Address queries and manage day-to-day on-site operations, including overseeing installation activities.
- Assist the team in the event of absences or staffing shortages, ensuring continuity of operations.
- Conduct site visits, to evaluate conditions and facilitate pre-installation and post-installation assessments.
2. Team Leadership
- Positively leads team members, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of objectives.
3. Safety Compliance
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols, promoting a safe working environment.
- Report on-site injuries and/or non-compliance to safety and health protocols.
- Ensure that employees wear their Personal protective equipment.
4. Record Keeping
- Maintain accurate documentation of site progress and materials used to track project status and resources.
- Liaise with the Senior Operations Supervisor to provide updates on site developments and address any operational issues.
5. Coordination with Warehouse
- Follow up with the warehouse for the procurement of work materials.
- Oversee the loading and unloading of materials, ensuring proper handling and efficiency of materials.
Profile Requirements
- A diploma in Photovoltaic or Electrical Engineering.
- Possess minimum 2 years of experience in MEP and photovoltaic installations.
- Has more than 4 years of overall experience in Electrical Installations.
Skills & Competencies
- In-depth Knowledge of Solar Equipment
- Possess a high standard of workmanship.
- Skilled in electrical equipment assembly and system integration.
- Possess knowledge of workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to handle and use necessary tools adequately.
- Demonstrate ability to lead teams and mentor juniors.
- Capacity in managing installation sites efficiently and professionally.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems efficiently.
