This role involves conducting inspections, audits, training and tests, and collaborating with various departments to maintain a consistent and high level of product quality.
Description
- Documentation & Systems: Create and update documents, including process flowcharts, procedures, and records; maintain the master document list.
- KPI and Process Monitoring: Update quality department KPIs and monitor food safety systems.
- Non-Conformance Analysis: Record, analyse and investigate non-conformities, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Sustainability Efforts: Gather carbon footprint data from departments and maintain a waste management database.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate actively in the implementation of the continuous improvement action plan as per timeline set on the organisation’s activities.
Profile:
- Degree in Food Science & Technology/ Food Safety / Chemistry
- 2 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing industry
- Experience in food safety and environmental management systems
- Innovative, Self-starter, a finisher, inquisitive, positively curious, open minded
- Able to achieve results within prescribed deadlines, works well with others
- Ability to cope with pressure, excellent communication and organisational skills respond to change
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance processes, including HACCP, GMP, and ISO standards
