Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of household appliances, ensuring they function efficiently and safely. This role involves diagnosing technical issues, providing customer support, and maintaining high-quality standards in all services performed.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Installation:
    • Set up and install home appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, ovens, microwaves, and air conditioners.
  2. Maintenance:
    • Perform routine maintenance checks to prolong the lifespan of appliances.
    • Advise customers on best practices to maintain their appliances.
  3. Repair:
    • Diagnose issues with malfunctioning appliances and replace or repair defective parts.
    • Use appropriate tools to repair electrical, mechanical, or electronic components.
  4. Customer Service:
    • Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns and explaining repairs in layman's terms.
    • Ensure timely service to minimize customer inconvenience.
  5. Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and follow-up requirements.
    • Provide cost estimates for repairs and obtain customer approval before proceeding.
  6. Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines when servicing appliances.
    • Stay updated on new appliance technologies and industry standards.

Qualifications and Skills

Educational Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
  • Vocational training or certification in appliance repair is an advantage.

Experience:

  • At least 2 years of experience in home appliance installation, maintenance, or repair.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and repair equipment.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused with a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Other Requirements:

  • Valid driving license to travel to customer locations.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if needed.
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems for record-keeping.
