Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of household appliances, ensuring they function efficiently and safely. This role involves diagnosing technical issues, providing customer support, and maintaining high-quality standards in all services performed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation:
- Set up and install home appliances such as refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, ovens, microwaves, and air conditioners.
- Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance checks to prolong the lifespan of appliances.
- Advise customers on best practices to maintain their appliances.
- Repair:
- Diagnose issues with malfunctioning appliances and replace or repair defective parts.
- Use appropriate tools to repair electrical, mechanical, or electronic components.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing concerns and explaining repairs in layman's terms.
- Ensure timely service to minimize customer inconvenience.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and follow-up requirements.
- Provide cost estimates for repairs and obtain customer approval before proceeding.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines when servicing appliances.
- Stay updated on new appliance technologies and industry standards.
Qualifications and Skills
Educational Requirements:
- Minimum of a Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field.
- Vocational training or certification in appliance repair is an advantage.
Experience:
- At least 2 years of experience in home appliance installation, maintenance, or repair.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
