JOB PURPOSE

To be responsible for the development and implementation of Human Resource and Administration strategies, policies, and initiatives while ensuring efficient HR operations, fostering positive employee relations, and managing administrative functions to support the company's overall objectives and compliance with legal and best practice standards

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

     i.        Formulate and develop Human Resource Management and Administration policies and strategies for the company, execute HR and Administration strategic projects, and analyse and advise on HR and Administration matters;

   ii.        Assume overall responsibility for all HR functions including the selection and recruitment of employees; the drafting of job profiles; the formulation and support of learning and growth initiatives including coaching and mentoring and also ensuring that the necessary training is provided to team members; the monitoring of employee performance, productivity and engagement; the management of employee remuneration and career development; the planning and supervision of HR operations within legal framework and applicable HR best practice;

 iii.        Manage employee relations including dealing with capacity issues, refereeing disputes, terminations and administering disciplinary procedures and industrial disputes;

 iv.        Provide support to Managers in their responsibility of planning, monitoring an optimal use of human resource complement;

   v.        Manage and oversee all administrative operations to manage and maintain all facilities of the company; to ensure adequate provision of office requisites; to manage the registry;

 vi.        Plan, organise and supervise day-to-day management of the division;

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • A first degree in the field of Human Resource Management or any other relevant qualification.
  • A Master’s degree in HR Management or Business Administration.
  • 8 years’ experience post qualification in a relevant field with 4 years’ experience in a managerial position at line management level or equivalent at project management level.
  • In-depth understanding of contemporary HR practices and trends within dynamic organizational contexts.
  • Proficiency in various HR domains, including talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, employee relations, and compensation.
  • Expertise in HR technology and systems, coupled with a strong grasp of emerging digital tools for HR management.
  • Knowledge of industry-specific best practices in digital HR transformation and adeptness in implementing effective HR strategies.
  • Ability to navigate diverse HR challenges and employ innovative solutions within the ever-evolving digital landscape.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Good understanding of legal compliance Workers’ Right Act and ethical considerations in HR practices.
  • Proven track record in fostering positive employee relations and contributing to a vibrant workplace culture.
  • Adaptability and readiness to embrace advancements in HR technology and methodologies.
