Background

The successful candidate will be working with different departments of the Company, as well as with the Chief Executive Officer, performing various accounting functions and prepare various reports and statistics.
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer
Job Holder will interact with: Account Management, Operations, Trading, Compliance and Head of Account Management, Operations, Trading, Compliance and Head of Risk.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Complete monthly closing activities, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals and properly recording transactions, for the Company and other related entities.
  • Production of monthly management accounts and reporting of the Company and other related entities.
  • Preparation of annual financial statements for the Company and other related entities in IFRS and other GAAPs.
  • Coordination with the Auditors on audits and other engagements.
  • Preparation of statutory and regulatory reporting including but not limited to the Company’s and other related entities FSC.
  • Measure, model and understand various revenues streams and costs across Group companies including performance reporting of the sales team.
  • Calculation and payment of partner commissions and analysis of client revenues versus cost.
  • Serve as a contact for banking relationships, for the Company and other related entities, as well as instructed cash movement for the Company and related entities.
  • Support in overseeing the Company’s client cash accounts, reconciliation, and reporting process.
  • Support in overseeing the Company’s liquidity management processes and foreign exchange operations.
  • Compile and analyse financial information and summarizing financial status to support the business, achieving financial goals and objectives.
  • Assist in the departmental budgets and forecasts process, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders in a timely and appropriate manner and the ongoing process.
  • Oversee debtors and creditors, ensuring timely collecting and payment, and performing the necessary reconciliations, for the Company and other related entities.
  • Preparation of periodic VAT returns in a timely and appropriate manner for the Company and other related entities.
  • Support in overseeing the payroll of the Company and adherence to the Company’s remuneration principles.
  • Ensure corporate tax compliance of the Company and other related entities.
  • Assist in maintaining a robust control environment providing mitigation and minimization of risks of fraud and error in the books.
  • Assist in automation and optimization of the accounting process.
  • Keeping abreast with relevant changes in international accounting standards, best practices and applicable regulations.
  • Any other tasks associated with those listed above.
  • And other tasks that may be assigned to the Employee from time to time.
Skills & abilities
  • Fluent English. Other languages will be considered an asset. 
  • A good team player, capable of leading in a fast-paced pressured environment maintaining accuracy and quality.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deal efficiently with different internal departments and external counterparts.
  • Ability to build relationships effectively, both in the immediate team and wider business.
  • Attention to detail ability to assess potential legal and compliance risks.
  • Have a strong degree of honesty, integrity and trustworthiness.
Experience
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as an Auditor or Accountant in an international company environment.
  • Being CPA certified will be considered an asset.
Knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or ACCA qualified will be considered an Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or ACCA qualified will be considered an asset.
  • Technical knowledge in IFRS and other types of GAAP.
  • Knowledge of local tax and VAT regulations.
  • Previous experience and knowledge in consolidations would be highly advantageous.
