As the Sales and Marketing Manager for our Lifestyle and Hospitality Cluster, you will be managing activities and events related to sales and marketing for Tamarina Hotel, Tamarina Golf and Sparc.

 

Being the Sales and Marketing Manager for our Lifestyle & Hospitality Cluster, your responsibilities will involve (but not limited to): 

Sales and Marketing Management
  • Supervise and plan marketing and communication strategies for Tamarina Beach Club Hotel, Tamarina Golf Club, and Sparc.
  • Prepare annual business plans, periodic forecasts, and specific sales, promotional, advertising, public relations, and merchandising targets, considering business needs, seasonal trends, and external/internal factors.
  • Recommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance marketing, communication, and sales operations.
  • Seek sales opportunities and analyze potential strategic partnerships for the sale of the group's products and services.
  • Set sales objectives for the sales team, KPIs, and targets for each segment and market.
  • Develop and maintain sales promotion strategies for all business sectors.
  • Ensure appropriate distribution of information and point-of-sale material to subordinates involved in selling or promoting the units.
  • Develop and coordinate sales cycles and approaches.
  • Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of existing sales strategies and results.
  • Conduct ongoing analysis of market trends and competitors' performance, using networking for benchmarking exercises.
  • Identify new market opportunities.
  • Monitor and control all MICE/Events sales activities.
  • Attend key trade fairs and sales weeks in key feeder markets.
  • Collaborate with Medine Communication team on the Cluster digital marketing strategies, including social media management, email campaigns, and digital advertising.
Business Planning and Strategic formulation 
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures to achieve targets.
  • Ensure that the Sales & Marketing plans are implemented and monitored within the cluster.
  • Evaluate different market conditions to assess the feasibility and success of strategies.

Public Relations
  • Develop and implement short- and long-term goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures to achieve targets.
  • Ensure that the Sales & Marketing plans are implemented and monitored within the cluster.
  • Evaluate different market conditions to assess the feasibility and success of strategies.
Budget Preparation and Control 
  • Prepare and manage the department’s budget timely and adequately.
  • Monitor the expenses and revenues attributed to the department monthly.
  • Set clear procedures for handling any sales opportunity from enquiry to final accounting, ensuring all forms of business are handled correctly.
  • Provide feedback to the Managing Director on the Cluster's performance through reliable reports and forecasts.
Team Management 
  • Oversee the daily operations and management of the Sales & Marketing department to ensure overall effectiveness.
  • Provide regular feedback to team members on their performance, conduct performance evaluations, and complete performance appraisals in accordance with Human Capital Policy & Guidelines.
  • Develop training plans for subordinates and organize and facilitate on-the-job training to develop knowledge and skills.
  • Liaise with the Head of Human Capital in all matters relating to recruitment and disciplinary procedures.
Customer Relationship Management 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Work closely with the departments within the Cluster business units, such as operations, fnb, and events, as well as the other Medine Business Units to ensure alignment of sales and marketing strategies with overall business objectives.

Reporting and Metrics 
  • Use data analytics and metrics to track the performance of marketing campaigns and sales initiatives, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Minimum experience requirements 
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and marketing, with at least 3 years in a senior managerial role.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful marketing and sales strategies.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital marketing, including social media management, email campaigns, and digital advertising.
  • Experience with budget management, financial reporting, and performance metrics.
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively.

Minimum education requirements
  • Hold a master’s degree in Marketing Management, any other alternate relevant qualification or equivalent experience.

  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales/marketing tools.

  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and marketing software (e.g., HubSpot, Google Analytics).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
