SAFETY AND HEALTH OFFICER

Exotic Group is looking for a Safety and Health Officer.

This role will be reporting to the ESH Executive and will be responsible for managing Safety and Health across all business units of the group, to ensure ongoing compliance, audits, training of personnel and continual improvement of a health and safety culture and performance.

MAIN DUTIES

• Assist the ESH Executive in implementing an ESH Management System for the Group.
• Carry out safety inspections and audits, risk assessment and accident investigation.
• Compile, write up and manage reports and their timelines and deadlines.
• Assist in devising, implementing and reviewing of safety and health preventive and precautionary measures as may be required.
• Roll out required Safety and Health Awareness and Training Programme.
• Maintain statutory compliance records and documentation to the prescribed legal requirements.
• Work closely with other safety roles within the company – assisting as required and develop a supportive relationship.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Hold a BSC in Health & Safety or any equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
• 1-2 years’ experience preferably in Food Industry, Hospitality or Manufacturing industry.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

• Conversant with Environmental and Safety and Health legislations, regulations and standards.
• Versant with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook)
• Be prepared to work odd hours.
• Good communication, planning and presentation skills
• Valid car driving license.
• Having own car will be an advantage.
