We are looking for a Retail Manager to join our Leisure Cluster!

 

Overview of the Role 

The Retail Manager oversees daily store operations, ensuring an optimal shopping experience while driving sales and profitability. This role involves managing staff, maintaining inventory, and implementing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.
The focus is on achieving business objectives through strong leadership, operational efficiency, and excellent service standards.
-The position will be based at Bagatelle Head Office however, the candidate will be required to move to different business units from Tamarin, Chamarel and Bel Ombre.
Key Responsibilities 
  • Drive sales performance by setting and monitoring revenue targets.
  • Analyze sales trends, identify opportunities, and implement strategies to maximize profitability.
  • Oversee promotional activities, pricing strategies, and merchandising initiatives to enhance customer engagement.
  • Ensure high customer service standards, addressing complaints and inquiries professionally.
  • Implement customer feedback strategies to enhance service quality and improve shopping experience.
  • Develop and oversee loyalty programs or special services to increase customer retention.
  • Manage stock levels, oversee inventory replenishment, and implement loss prevention measures.
  • Ensure efficient store layout, merchandising, and visual presentation in line with brand guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, security, and operational standards.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff, fostering a motivated and high-performing team.
  • Set performance expectations, conduct appraisals, and implement development plans.
  • Schedule and assign staff effectively to meet operational needs.
  • Monitor budgets, control expenses, and ensure financial targets are met.
  • Analyze financial reports to drive informed decision-making.
  • Implement cost-saving measures while maintaining service quality.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences.
  • Collaborate with head office and category executives to optimize product offerings.
  • Drive local marketing initiatives and partnerships to boost store visibility and foot traffic.
  • Comply with all the sustainability commitments and practices implemented within business units.
  • Notify the Sustainable Development Department of any matters that may pose any impact to the environment and society.
Ideal Candidate Profile 
  • Diploma or degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Additional certifications in retail operations, sales, or customer service are an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in retail management or a similar role.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities, with experience in staff development.
  • Proficiency in inventory control, budgeting, and financial performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of merchandising, sales techniques, and customer engagement strategies.
  • Ability to analyze sales data, forecast trends, and implement targeted improvements.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
