Restaurant Supervisor

Hold at least a Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent relevant qualifications. Have as minimum 5 years of experience in similar job role. Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise the mise-en-place to ensure the readiness of the restaurant to welcome the guests.
• Supervise the service to maintain the quality standard according to the norms established by the hotel.
• Make sure that all the rules concerning ordering and billing are respected.
• Conduct frequent inspection of the cleanliness of the work place, equipment, mise-en-place and the tidiness of the lower ranking personnel
• Assist in planning, controlling and coordinating the restaurant organization.
• Ensure as reasonably practicable, the safety, health and welfare of the Food & Beverages employees at work.
• Perform any other cognate duties as may be necessary in the circumstances and/or required by the employer.

• Supervise the activities of supervisors and waiters to ascertain provision of efficient service.

• Assist in conducting inventory of materials and to make sure that they are correctly used and controlled.
• Ensure the application of policies and procedures of the restaurant.
• Converse with guests on quality of service and food and gets suggestion, and comments.
• Verify quantity and quality of requisition supplies received from storekeeper to ensure conformity with requisition list.

Qualification and Experience Required:

• Hold at least a Diploma in Hospitality Management or equivalent relevant qualifications.
• Have as minimum 5 years of experience in similar job role.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
• Knowledge of product trends and current awareness of industry standards.
• Be able to work in fast-paced and self-directed business environment.
• Have strong customer service focus.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
