JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Excursions Promotion:
- Promote all excursions organized by our office to hotel guests, highlighting the unique experiences and benefits , and tailor made activities to fit guests profile and pace of holiday
- Create marketing materials and distribute them throughout the hotel to increase awareness and participation
- Monitor and analyse excursion bookings to identify trends and areas for improvement
2. Guest payment Management:
- Follow up on payments related to guest who use our services , ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Maintain clear and organized records of all transactions and payments
- Coordinate with the hotel's accounting department to resolve any billing discrepancies
3. Service Provider Coordination:
- Establish and maintain strong working relationships with service providers
- Liaise with service providers to schedule excursions, confirm bookings, and ensure seamless experiences for guests
- Track and manage service provider contracts, rates, and terms to ensure compliance and optimize value for the hotel
4. Purchasing Orders:
- Initiate and monitor purchasing orders for excursion-related supplies and service contracts
- Coordinate with relevant departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery
5. Information Provision:
- Provide comprehensive information to hotel guests about our facilities, services, and excursion options
- Act as a liaison between guests and the respective departments to address any inquiries, requests and complaints
- Update and share all relevant information with the head of respective departments to ensure efficient coordination
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a hospitality or recreation management role is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with guests and service providers.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial transactions and guest accounts.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of hotel systems and booking software is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle potential guest concerns or complaints.
- A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and creating lasting memories.
- Excellent knowledge of geography, culture and history of Mauritius will be definitely an advantage.
