Winners, the leading supermarket chain in Mauritius, is looking for dynamic Quality Officers to consolidate its quality team. The incumbents will report to the Operational Excellence Manager.
Key responsibilities:
- Ensure that instructions and procedures are properly implemented and maintained.
- Carry out daily inspections and regular process-based audits.
- Ensure that all stakeholders adhere to food safety rules and actively support the teams for creating a proper food safety culture.
- Ensure that all food safety records are documented as per standards and readily available.
- Provide regular food safety training to the teams.
- Perform root cause analysis for any failure detected in the system.
- Follow-up with the Human Capital teams regarding the Food Handlers certificates.
- Provide up-to-date data for analysis as and when required.
Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Food Science and Technology or equivalent qualification
- Conversant with MS Office Suite
- Experience in the retail or hospitality sector will constitute an advantage
Other requisites:
- Positive proactive team player with a dynamic personality
- Effective communication, organizational and time management skills
- Ability to demonstrate analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Detail and results-oriented
- Ability to work under pressure
- Available to work on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, as well as odd hours
- Holder of a valid driving licence
