Job Description:
Route Twenty Six Co Ltd (Nextep Home Solutions) is seeking a dedicated Purchasing & Logistics Assistant to support our procurement and logistics operations. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth processes and efficient coordination across vendor management, purchase order processing, and cost negotiation.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Vendor Management:

• Establish and maintain effective communication with suppliers to obtain quotes and negotiate favorable terms.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with vendors to ensure seamless collaboration.

2. Purchase Order Processing:

• Accurately create and manage purchase orders, ensuring they meet organizational standards.
• Verify order details, including specifications, quantities, and delivery schedules, for consistency and precision.

3. Cost Negotiation:

• Collaborate with suppliers and logistics partners to secure competitive pricing and advantageous terms.
• Identify opportunities to optimize costs across purchasing and logistics operations proactively.

Specific Tasks (Purchasing):

• Request price inquiries and quotations from various suppliers.
• Expedite the issuance of purchase orders to meet project timelines.
• Create detailed product items, including visuals when applicable.
• Coordinate with the accounting department to follow up on payments and ensure accuracy.
• Gather and submit local supplier invoices for accounting purposes.
• Prepare comprehensive documentation for final payment processing.
• Manage the replenishment of kitchen and stationery supplies.

Specific Tasks (DLB Project Coordination):

• Regularly update ETAs on the Monday.com project platform.
• Collaborate with sales and procurement teams to ensure product specifications align with project requirements.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Higher School Certificate (HSC) is required; additional education or certifications in purchasing, logistics, or related fields is an advantage.
• Proven experience in purchasing and logistics, with a strong understanding of industry practices.
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills to handle diverse responsibilities efficiently.
• Fluency in both English and French.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to foster productive relationships with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in procurement and logistics software, with experience using Sage being highly advantageous.
