Job Profile
We have exciting opportunities for Project Engineers in the Mechanical and Electrical field to join our dynamic Contracting Seychelles Team, who will be responsible for the proper planning, labour resourcing, execution and monitoring of assigned projects with accuracy and quality.
The selected candidates will be posted full time in Seychelles for periods between 6 to 11 months.
Role and Responsibilities
- Coordinate all project elements including engineering design, quality planning, manufacturing, installation, commissioning, and final buy-off phases.
- Oversee the management of project documentation, including drawings, Engineering Field Instructions (EFIs), and document control.
- Direct and oversee project teams on-site (8 to 12 people), by formulating parameters, assigning responsibilities and monitoring them.
- Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, clients and stakeholders to ensure seamless project integration.
- Monitor and manage the procurement of equipment and materials required for the project.
- Ensure all project aspects, from drawings and materials to worker skills and equipment, meet quality standards, address non-conformance, and maintain thorough documentation for inspections and client acceptance
- Ensure the project is compliant with the applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, legal requirements and specifications.
- Any other cognate duties may be assigned by the Head of Department.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 2 to 4 years of construction experience in a similar position.
- Overseas experience will be an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills and Attitude
- Mastery of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and industry standards.
- Conversant with Microsoft Office, Project Management Software and AutoCAD.
- Good leadership and negotiation skills.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proactive, problem-solving and detail oriented.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- Holder of a valid driving licence for private car.
