Production technician

Indika Pharma Ltd is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Production technician to support the manufacturing team with tasks related to production.

Based in the heart of the lush Vallée de Ferney in Mauritius, Indika is valorising the biodiversity and botanical heritage of the Mascarenes to develop organic and eco-friendly products that contribute to the wellness and wellbeing of the Mauritian population, and beyond.

The company is looking for a dynamic and dedicated Production technician to support the manufacturing team with tasks related to production.

Main responsibilities:

• Prepare and measure raw materials and ingredients according to specified formulas.
• Operate and monitor production equipment used in manufacturing.
• Maintain production schedules and ensure that products are produced within required timelines.
• Prepare packaging materials and ensure that finished products are packaged securely.
• Ensure that all production equipment is kept clean, sanitized, and in good working condition to prevent contamination.
• Track raw material usage, report shortages, and coordinate with the inventory team.
• Provide feedback on product quality and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications and skills:

• Diploma (or equivalent) – Science field preferred.
• Experience in a similar role would be preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

Additional information:

• Starting date: as from beginning of February 2025.
• Remuneration package: Rs 20-30k (depending on experience of the candidate).
• Working hours: from 08:00 to 17:00 at Ferney, Vieux Grand Port.
