RESPONSIBILITIES Solana Beach Mauritius is actually looking for a Pastry Chef with the following profile: - Plans, coordinates and supervises his team with the assigned work activity and ensure consistent quality and inovation in the preparation of bakery/ desserts

 

RESPONSIBILITIES
Solana Beach Mauritius is actually looking for a Pastry Chef with the following profile:

  • Plans, coordinates and supervises his team with the assigned work activity and ensure       consistent quality in the preparation of bakery/ desserts
  • Maintains controls over assigned budget areas of food, supply, and labor costs, taking corrective action as needed to meet budget expectations
  • Introduce new desserts/pastries for innovation
  • Promoting high standard within the pastry department
  • Ensure Health & Safety Standards with the pastry departments
  • Develop cooking and preparation of all the pastries within the kitchen's required standard

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • - Minimum SC
  • - Award certificate from the Hotel School
  • - 10 years experience in a pastry/ bakery environment
  • - 5 years at a supervisory level
  • - Working experience with sugar and chocolate will be an advantage

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • - Creative and innovative
  • - Good communication skills
  • - Good leadership skills with a minimum 5 years in a supervisory position
  • - Cost conscious
  • - Willingness to work odd hours
