OPERATIONS SUPPORT

This role is to ensure the smooth running of the company’s Rodrigues and coal transport operations. Assisting the Operations Supervisor in troubleshooting issues and work as per the established processes to deliver top-notch service to our clients.

This job will require the incumbent to work outside normal working hours depending on arrival and departure of vessel to and from Rodrigues, and coal ships transit time in Mauritius.

ROLE

• Assist in the daily operational process including scheduling and logistics, to ensure efficiency in the operations related to the Rodrigues shipments, bunkering activities and the coal unloading & transport activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Remaining on standby and be on the field whenever required and liaising with all exterior parties as well as authorities involved in the operations stated above.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of operational tasks.
• Identify bottlenecks, suggest solutions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Drafting import and export documents and issuing operational reports as and when required for management review and records.

SKILLS

• HSC or equivalent level, any diploma in administration or logistics studies is an advantage
• Proven experience in operations or a similar role
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong, teamwork and communication skills, both written and verbal
