Our client, an industry leader in specialised international financial services is expanding their team in Port Louis and is on the lookout for a Temporary Monitoring & Surveillance Associate to spearhead their Retail Banking remediation project.
Role Overview:
In this role, you will lead our Retail Banking remediation project, ensuring the timely completion of all allocated cases.
Qualification and Skills:
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in Due Diligence or Compliance areas related to KYC, AML, and CTF.
- Prior work experience with a bank or financial services company is advantageous.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
- Strong time management skills.
- General understanding of IT systems used in the KYC area.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
Job description:
- Efficiently manage the workflow for all assigned cases.
- Review, update, and upload Customer Due Diligence (CDD) information and documentation provided by clients during onboarding and ongoing reviews of Retail Banking clients.
- Ensure detailed Source of Wealth and Funds rationale for each relationship, corroborating information as needed from public sources or client documentation.
- Review tax documentation provided by clients.
- Conduct adverse media searches to identify potential high-risk factors, escalating potential matches to jurisdictional compliance teams.
- Analyze client summaries completed by the Front Office team, ensuring accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with Cayman and Halifax offices to obtain necessary information and progress through reviews.
