We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Managing Director to lead my clients’ Management Company in Mauritius. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of the business, driving growth, expanding the client base, and ensuring excellence in service delivery. The MD will be responsible for formulating strategic objectives, overseeing operations, and maintaining regulatory compliance while fostering strong client relationships. A solid accounting and/or law background and deep expertise in Mauritius' financial services sector, including FSC regulations, trust formation, and offshore structuring, are essential.
Skills & Experience required:
Educational Qualifications:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Law.
- Professional qualifications such as ACCA, ACA, CFA, or CPA are highly preferred.
Professional Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in the financial services industry, ideally within a Management Company in Mauritius.
- Proven expertise in FSC regulations, trust formation, and offshore corporate structuring.
- Prior experience in a leadership role such as CEO, Managing Director, or Senior Executive.
Technical Knowledge & Skills:
- Strong understanding of Mauritian financial services laws and regulatory frameworks.
- Experience in managing Global Business Companies (GBCs), Trusts, Foundations, and Fund Structures.
- Expertise in financial management, accounting, auditing, and tax planning.
- Ability to collaborate with regulators, legal professionals, and international clients.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth:
- Develop and execute the company’s strategic vision, business plans, and operational strategies.
- Drive business expansion, ensuring sustainable growth within regulatory frameworks.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, regulators, and industry stakeholders.
- Identify new market opportunities and develop innovative service offerings.
Regulatory Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure full compliance with FSC Mauritius regulations, AML/CFT laws, and other relevant financial laws.
- Oversee corporate governance, risk management, and internal controls.
- Maintain proactive engagement with regulatory authorities, ensuring timely reporting and compliance.
Financial Management & Reporting:
- Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to maintain the company’s financial health.
- Ensure financial sustainability and profitability while adhering to accounting and regulatory standards.
- Drive cost-efficiency measures while enhancing revenue streams.
Trust & Offshore Structuring Expertise:
- Provide expert guidance on trust formation, company incorporation, and offshore structuring.
- Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including FATCA, CRS, and OECD guidelines.
- Advise clients on tax-efficient structures and international wealth management solutions.
Operational & People Management:
- Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Implement efficient operational processes to ensure seamless client service delivery.
- Drive digital transformation and the adoption of technology to enhance service offerings.
