We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Maintenance Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of electrical systems, be eager to learn, and ready to take on various maintenance tasks under the guidance of our experienced team
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems to minimize production downtime.
- Conduct inspections and diagnostics on equipment to identify potential issues and address them promptly.
- Electrical Systems
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using basic tools and diagnostic techniques.
Installation & Upgrades
- Assist in the installation, setup, and testing of new machinery and equipment.
- Perform upgrades and modifications to existing equipment to improve efficiency and productivity.
Safety & Compliance
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, complying with health and safety regulations.
- Report any unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions to the maintenance supervisor.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, inspections, and parts usage.
- Document and report any equipment performance issues or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
Collaboration & Support
- Work closely with production and engineering teams to identify and address maintenance needs.
- Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as required.
General Maintenance Duties
- Perform general facility maintenance tasks, including plumbing, painting, and carpentry, as needed.
- Assist with emergency maintenance and repairs outside of regular working hours when necessary.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Diploma or equivalent. Technical school training or an apprenticeship in industrial maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience automated equipment is preferred.
- Knowledge of welding, machining, and fabrication techniques is an advantage.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as electrical, or welding are beneficial.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work in various environmental conditions.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Availability: Must be available for on-call work and willing to work overtime or shifts as required.
