Position Overview:
As Maintenance Manager, you will oversee and coordinate all maintenance activities across the facility, with a focus on reliability, compliance, and efficiency. You will lead a team of technicians and engineers, ensure proper upkeep of all equipment, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in electrical/electronic/mechatronics engineering and hands-on experience with automated systems, clean room environments, and industrial maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the maintenance team, ensuring effective planning and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance tasks
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies for critical production and support equipment (including HVAC, compressors, and utilities)
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory, health & safety, and clean room standards
- Troubleshoot complex machinery and coordinate with international suppliers for remote support and upgrades
- Maintain accurate documentation for all maintenance and calibration activities
- Analyse downtime and equipment performance to propose and implement improvement measures
- Manage spare parts inventory and liaise with the storekeeper to ensure availability of critical items
- Participate in audits and support internal/external inspections
- Lead training and development of maintenance staff to ensure skills and knowledge remain current
- Promote a culture of 5S, continuous improvement, and operational excellence within the team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical/ Electronic, or Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar leadership role in a catheter manufacturing (preferably an FDA and ISO 13485- regulated environment) or medical device manufacturing.
- Strong technical knowledge in troubleshooting automated systems and electronic devices.
- Working knowledge of ICT/programming tools (PLC, controllers, sensors, etc.).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
- Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented approach
- Willingness to work on a shift system and provide support during off-hours when necessary.
