Handle administrative tasks such as preparing and managing reports, maintaining records of maintenance and repair work, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
Tasks/Responsibilities:
- Handle administrative tasks such as preparing and managing reports, maintaining records of maintenance and repair work, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Manage the inventory of supplies, parts, and equipment needed for maintenance and repair work.
- Accurately word-processes all rosters, correspondence, minutes of meeting, reports, memos and other documents relevant to the Maintenance Department.
- Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Provides reference / dates on all correspondences and memos.
- Performs various data input duties as required.
- Plan and manage all repair and installation activities
- Ensure the constant availability of required materials and equipment
- Coordinate daily maintenance tasks such as repairs and inspections
- Assessing procedures and making recommendations for improvement.
- Ensuring basic tools and machinery are in working order by performing regular inspections.
- Ensuring a good Housekeeping in the technical yard and workshop
- Updating maintenance logs for all machinery.
- Keeping track of supply and material inventories.
- Propose requisition and maintain equipment and supplier and maintain follow ups.
Skills:
- Team Player and ability to work with different functional teams.
- Ability to plan, organize and follow up on different tasks at the same time.
- Fluent both in Written and Oral English and French.
- Computer-aided design skills.
- Creative and Strategic thinker.
- Excellent organizational skills to plan and schedule regular maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Problem-solving abilities to quickly identify issues, determine their cause, and implement effective solutions.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
- Physical fitness to perform tasks that may require heavy lifting, climbing, or other strenuous activities.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergencies promptly and efficiently.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Four years minimum as Maintenance Coordinator in 4- or 5-star hotel.
- Technical qualification (Electrical or Machinal engineering).
- 50% office base – 50% site base.
- well versatile with MS Office – (word/excel/graph/report etc).
