Machinery Operator – Backhoe Loader - ENQUICKFIX Limited

ENQUICKFIX Limited is currently looking for a dynamic & proactive Machinery Operator – Backhoe Loader to join its team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Operate the backhoe loader efficiently and safely by understanding and following operating procedures, controls, and safety guidelines.
• Load or unload materials such as soil, gravel, rocks onto trucks/trailers or into designated areas.
• Transport materials on the job site such as moving heavy objects, equipment, or supplies using the loader bucket or forks.
• Responsible for the efficient working condition of the backhoe including performing routine maintenance checks and inspections such as minor servicing, maintenance, and cleaning of the backhoe.
• Adhere to safety procedures, wear personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintain situational awareness to prevent accidents or injuries.
• collaborate with supervisors, co-workers, and other equipment operators to ensure smooth workflow and avoid conflicts or hazards
• Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental performance.
• Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation.
• Any ad-hoc duties will be communicated in due time.

Qualifications:

• Any relevant qualifications from a recognised institution e.g., MITD.
• Holder of a valid driving licence (having a tractor permit / a bell loader permit / any heavy vehicle licence would be an advantage)
• Relevant experience in operating a variety of heavy vehicle would be desirable.
• Operators should be familiar with basic maintenance tasks like checking fluid levels, inspecting tires, and reporting any malfunctions or issues.
• Quality Assurance, Attention to details.
• Teamwork/Collaboration.
• Exceptional manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Ability to work extended hours, as required.
