Laundry Supervisor

To guide the linen maid to perform their duties towards a guest oriented concept and to do continuous training so as to attain the highest quality service, to accept criticism from guest and the management so as to improve and grow one’s competence.

Position purpose

To be able to lead and manage the linen room with zest and clairvoyance.

To accept challenges and changes for the betterment of the hotel. To guide the linen maid to perform their duties towards a guest oriented concept and to do continuous training so as to attain the highest quality service, to accept criticism from guest and the management so as to improve and grow one’s competence.

Key responsibilities:

● To read and convey message from the supervisor’s log book and on the internal mail.

●To plan and schedule work as per roster and liability of personnel’s to supervise and assist linen in their daily duties.

●To follow up on guest laundry and avaibility of linen and towel used by different department, if there is a lack in stock at hand to make arrangement with outside launderer to deliver earlier.

● To liaise with launderers about delivery and collection of linen during public holidays or festive time.

● To be able to foresee problem that might arise and tackle with it at the root.

● To help maintain a secure and pleasant environment within the linen room and with other department as well, to promote team spirit in order to achieve the standard required and do level best in terms of quality and quantity.

● To train personnel in working procedures and arrange with the chemical suppliers for training on all chemicals used within the linen room.

● To do linen /uniform inventory every end of month.

● To see that guest request are met and maintained

● To follow up that linen room is neat and tidy, every linen uniform should be well set up and that staff are receiving their uniform as per procedures.
