The primary responsibility of a Laboratory Technician is to perform test analysis and adhere to laboratory processes while ensuring compliance to ISO/IEC 17025, Group Policies & Guidelines, Health and Safety, OIMS and Customer requirements.
- To perform test and any assigned tasks related to the test method.
- To perform sample collection as and when required.
- To ensure that testing requirements are fully met including application of correct methods / standards and applicable tolerance with respect to regulatory norms.- To ensure that all equipment is well maintained, in good operating conditions and calibrated as per defined requirements.
- To ensure that samples are disposed in accordance to contractual agreement.
- Qualifications: BSc in Chemistry
- Experience in laboratory analysis and familiar with laboratory environment.
- Computer literacy.
- Flexible to work extended hours and outside blocked business hours where required to meet business realities.
- Holder of clean and active certificate of character.
- Possess good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills.
- A keen eye for detail and a result driven approach.
- Able to work independently and to coordinate several activities simultaneously.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written skills. (English/French)
- Knowledge of quality management system (ISO 17025) will be a definite advantage.
