LAUNDRY ATTENDANT

• Sorting washing, drying and folding linens and personal Guests items • Delivering soiled linens to laundry and returning clean linens • Cleaning laundry room and machines

1. Wash, clean, dry, and fold numerous hotel linen and laundry items.
2. Sort the laundry items according to material and colour.
3. Arrange clothes in the laundry room as per the specifications.
4. Wrap the laundry items for pickup or delivery.
5. Update the laundry list and record it on a daily basis.
6. Maintain cleanliness in the laundry room.
7. Assist fellow laundry attendants in loading and unloading laundry washers and dryers.
8. Maintain inventory level which includes detergents, and others. Keep it updated on a regular basis.
9. Respond to customer complaints in a professional manner.
10. Provide various other laundry services if required.

KEY COMPETENCIES

1. Prior experience as a Laundry Attendant or a similar position in the Hospitality industry will be considered.
2. Extensive experience in using laundry detergents and cleaning equipment.
3. Ability to work for long hours as well as work on weekends if required.
4. Well versed in using laundry equipment and maintaining the types of equipment.
5. Ability to lift heavy materials and objects.
6. Quick decision-making skills.
7. A problem solver.
8. Great customer service skills.
9. Good written and verbal communication skills.
10. Physically fit.
11. Ability to calculate effectively using basic arithmetic skills.
